This post is part of the Age of Ultron Aftermath series.

So, you’ve seen Avengers: Age of Ultron six times, and you’re wondering, ‘what does this mean for my favourite character?’. In this series of articles, we’re going to take a look at where each character has been left, and use what we already know, as well as some speculation, to discuss what the end of Age of Ultron means for each of the Avengers. Needless to say, spoilers ahead for Age of Ultron.

Age of Ultron – What Does it Mean For Scarlet Witch?

Scarlet Witch ended Age of Ultron in a place a lot of people might not have been expecting. She’s now a fully fledged Avenger, and no doubt an important part of the team. She’s very powerful (something the films haven’t had a chance to explore yet), and with her brother now dead, she has nowhere else to go, which leaves her in a similar situation to Captain America.

Elizabeth Olsen has already been rumoured to appear in the next Captain America film, Civil War, which is starting to look like it might have all of the new Avengers team in it, and who wouldn’t love that? She is a totally different character to the rest of the team, and can bring something unique not only power and ability wise, but also in her history and possibly the points of view she has on certain subjects.

One thing that will almost certainly be explored in future films is her relationship with Vision. In the comics, the two of them get married and even have children at one point. While I don’t think the cinematic universe would go there, a romance between the two is almost definitely on the table. It was hinted at multiple times, most notably when he saved her in the most heroic way possible at the last second. They’re going to be spending a lot more time together too now that they’re both Avengers so watch this space.

Age of Ultron – What Does it Mean For Scarlet Witch?

The other place that Scarlet Witch might appear is in the upcoming Doctor Strange film. The two of them are the only two magic based characters seen so far in the Marvel cinematic universe, so are a natural fit to appear in a film together. This could be an interesting way to both introduce Doctor Strange and expand on what we’ve seen so far of Scarlet Witch.

What do you think is next for Scarlet Witch? Did we miss anything? Share your thoughts in the comments.
