So, you’ve seen Avengers: Age of Ultron six times, and you’re wondering, ‘what does this mean for my favourite character?’. In this series of articles, we’re going to take a look at where each character has been left, and use what we already know, as well as some speculation, to discuss what the end of Age of Ultron means for each of the Avengers. Needless to say, spoilers ahead for Age of Ultron.
Vision might look a bit silly, but he’s certainly no joke. Apart from perhaps Thor, he could now be the most powerful character in the Marvel cinematic universe. An argument could be made for The Hulk, but he’s not in complete control of his powers, as we’re so often reminded. so, how and where is he going to use these powers? Let’s discuss.
Being one of the new Avengers line up, it’s likely that he’ll turn up in Captain America: Civil War. As far as I know Paul Bettany hasn’t signed on to appear, but there’s plenty of time for that to change. Another plot that he could be involved with is a romance with Scarlet Witch. In the comics they have a long and complicated history together, and judging by the way the two of them were flirting in Age of Ultron, it seems like this is almost certainly going to be explored in some capacity.
There’s somewhere else that he’s definitely going to appear. The reason Vision has a consciousness and Ultron doesn’t is that he has one of the infinity gems in his forehead. Anyone who knows anything about the next phase of the MCU knows that Thanos, almost certainly the big bad in Avengers: Infinity War, is collecting all of these stones. Whichever way you look at it, he’s going to try to get that stone, so Vision and Thanos will almost certainly go toe to toe at some point. Yes, you can start getting excited about that.
